The good news keeps on coming for Summit County real estate! October concluded on a high note with 51 properties selling at a 24 percent gain from the same week last year. Furthermore, new properties going under contract have gone up 35 percent.
Plus, new Summit County homes for sale are at a 60 percent increase over the figures for the same week in 2012. It’s no exaggeration to say we have very positive numbers to report.
In terms of Summit County homes currently on the market, properties for sale have gone down by 11 percent. Also, the amount of properties now under contract has decreased by 2 percent. But sales through November 3rd are up 21 percent. The north side of the county is enjoying a 20 percent increase and the south is showing a whopping 22 percent boost.
However, prices have declined an average of 6 percent for sold properties in Summit County. That breaks down to a 6 percent decrease on the north side and a 10 percent reduction on the south side.
The fact is, though, that Summit County’s real estate market is improving. Also, as a Re/MAX Realtor, I can tell you that Re/MAX Properties of the Summit (RPOTS) is the firm that’s outselling everyone else in Summit County. So far this year, we’ve been part of 59 percent more closed transactions than the number 2 Summit County real estate agency.
