Summit County is the ideal place to live for outdoor enthusiasts. It’s a fact that you can enjoy practically every kind of sport here.

However, all the outdoor activities we have to offer can come with a price. Wind and sun damage often wreak havoc on our skin. Fortunately, a local business is working hard to make sure our skin stays healthy.

In this blog, I want to introduce you to A Perfect Touch, which is a personalized skin care spa that helps make Frisco such a wonderful town. This is where you’ll find Karyn Blanco, who’s ready to assist you with everything related to the skin. As the owner of this multi-purpose spa, she looks at skin from every angle.

I recently talked with Karyn and learned some useful techniques to maintain my own skin from the signs of aging. It had never occurred to me before we spoke that wearing sun block on my hands could make such a difference. What a great tip!

Even in casual conversation, Karyn always wants to make sure everyone’s skin is at its best. It just goes to show how devoted Karyn is to teaching people effective ways to take care of their skin.

She’s also very happy to have made Summit County her home. This is where she enjoys practicing her skin care expertise and she has no plans to leave.

“It’s a great place to live and I just knew this was where I wanted to be and where I wanted to stay,” Karyn told me. “It’s a great community and there are so many like-minded, health-conscious people here.”

Karyn speaks from a lot of experience living in many different places over the years. In 2004, she moved to Summit County and hasn’t looked back since.

After opening up her business on a part-time basis in 2005, Karyn worked for other spas in the area to get a better feel for the work involved.

In the process, she discovered that she couldn’t spend as much time with clients as an employee. The schedule was always too tight and time was very limited.

So around 2009 Karyn decided to stop working for other spas and focused solely on her business, giving her the ability to design her own schedule. Now she can make sure to dedicate as much time as necessary to every one of her clients.

“I schedule extra time so I can analyze their skin and at least start the process of sharing information. I do a lot of consultations with people who just come in and I problem solve to try to figure out what’s causing a certain problem and how we can improve it,” Karyn explained.

Unlike other spas, Karyn believes in looking at the whole person, addressing everything from nutrition to lifestyle.

“When someone comes to see me, I’m not just looking at their skin, I’m looking at the entire person. I want to help them be happier, healthier and live longer,” Karyn said.

In addition to treating her clients’ skin care problems, Karyn also offers a variety of unique, complementary services such as reflexology, permanent makeup, eyelash extensions and camouflage for scars.

“I’m very much a type A personality so I’m always reading articles, trade magazines and going to shows to check out everything,” Karyn said. “I always keep up with the trends and I’m always looking at new approaches.”

Her goal is to make sure everyone who sees her leaves with more knowledge and understanding of proven skin care techniques.
