February Events in Summit County
February is a great month to be in Summit County. You just can’t beat living in a mountain community this time of year.
That’s because there are so many fantastic activities to choose from.
Here’s just a sampling of some really fun stuff. Prepare to be overwhelmed!
Ski with a Ranger
If you live to ski, then this is the event for you.
Enjoy a free on-hill tour with a ranger and learn all about the White River National Forest.
This isn’t an activity for beginner skiers, though.
You need to have proper ski equipment, lift tickets and be at least an intermediate skier or snowboarder.
Ripperoo’s Village Parade
Searching for an awesome way to entertain the kiddies? Look no further.
Keystone has a village parade hosted by Ripperoo himself!
You and your family can join him on his tour to the Dercum Square Ice Rink for complimentary cocoa and other delicious treats.
Snowshoe Tours
Ever enjoy the gorgeous mountain landscape on snowshoes? If you haven’t, now’s the time.
The Copper Mountain Ambassadors offer free snowshoe tours every day at 10:00am and 1:00pm as long as the weather is nice out.
Historic Walking Tours
Bet you didn’t know that Breckenridge has a nationally recognized Historic District. It’s pretty fascinating.
Even back in 1880, Breckenridge was a cultural center for the region. You can find out a lot about this town’s intriguing history on the walking tours offered Wednesdays through Sundays at 11:00am and 1:30pm, too. A local expert is ready to show you around!
Valentine’s Day Night Out
If you’re looking for a special treat for your sweet someone, the Valentine’s Day Comedy could be the answer.
It’s the annual comedy show located at the Silverthorne Pavilion in Silverthorne. Make this a Valentine’s Day to remember!
